Letnitsa Treasure
Letnitsa treasure was accidentally discovered near the village of Letnitsa, Lovech district. It consists of 23 appliques for horse trappings, made of silver with gilt and gold, which were placed in a bronze cauldron.
The appliques are decorated with images, most of them anthropomorphic. The scenes depicted, probably narrate a Thracian myth about the ruler’s value trial. Dedication and initiation – mid-IV century B.C.
